Physical activity and sports have been big part of my life since I was a child. It
has always been a dream of mine to own my own Gym and I'm proud to say that my
dream has come true. I am a certified strength and conditioning coach/trainer, as well
as having my Level 1 in Olympic weightlifting.
I have been Powerlifting for 10+ years,
and coaching the last 5 years.
I completely understand what its like to workout in a public gym. You may sometimes feel embarrassed wondering if people are watching or judging you while you work out. Here at The Den we have one on one training, so that will never happen, and believe me you will never have to worry or feel that way.
In my youth and early adulthood, I grew up in a rough neighbourhood in Toronto, Canada. It wasn’t always easy, I hung around with a rough crowd and there were many obstacles I had to over come. Many people don’t have the opportunity to turn there lives around, and im one of the lucky ones who did. No matter what happened, or how tough times got,
My Dad instilled in myself and siblings to never quit or give up. He would always say “never stop, never stop, keep on going”, which is where our Mantra at The Den came from.
This Mantra I use everyday, it’s a mindset. It helps me when im pushing through a training routine, coaching a member of the Den through there last reps, or encouraging them to hit a personal best/record.
With the right mindset and drive anything can be accomplished.
I believe that anyone can accomplish anything. Whether you’re an athlete, or someone that is just getting started in training/working out.
